We’re married!
We did it! We had a blackout at the hall on Thursday, the “blizzard of the year” on Friday where our Floridian guests were grounded, and a last minute DJ switch on Friday night, but none of that mattered! Our guests traveled from near and far and there were only a couple that couldn’t make it (I had anticipated a lot of no shows), and everyone danced until they turned the music off and closed the place down.
Here are some of the pics we have so far…they keep trickling in from our guests.
This is when the makeup started. I think it’s the moment that it felt real. Everything else was like getting ready for someone else’s wedding or a big party, but you see in the background that the video guy pulled out his camera and started filming.

My niece Bella. Her mom was my matron of honor. She’s also my husband’s god daughter. That bow in her hair is her trademark. ![]()

I was so nervous before. We spent hours taking pictures and I couldn’t bring myself to sit down, so they just kept snapping away.

The Rabbi and the Priest walked in first in the processional. We chose “All You Need is Love” performed by Lyndon David Hall (Love Actually Soundtrack). I heard it really set the mood we were going for. I’ve heard there was a moment when Chris’s yarmulke was falling off and the priest came around to hold it on top of his head as he said his vows. So symbolic. I cannot wait for that video!

Chris being escorted down the aisle by his parents.

Flower girls. They were adorable. I heard that they were putting the petals down one by one and then went back to pick them all up after they finished! I can’t wait for the video.

Me getting escorted in by my parents.

Because of the blackout on Thursday we didn’t have a rehearsal. The rabbi ran through everything with me separately from the wedding party for a few minutes before the wedding but I was really nervous. He told me to first place the ring on Chris’s right pointer finger. I completely blanked! I looked at my hands, looked at his, I couldn’t even figure out which hand was his right one! I just panicked and started putting the ring on all of his fingers until he stopped me when I got to the right one. You can see everyone laughing in the background!

We did it!

Entering the reception. I love this picture. We look so triumphant.

First dance. Look at my mom in the background. She is so happy!

After the first dance we went right into the hora. The MC asked me twice if I wanted to go up on the chair and I adamantly told him YES! The moment I got lifted up I was convinced I was going to fall off! But it was so much fun! I give Chris a lot of credit for getting up there. I’ve been lifted up before at bar/bat mitzvahs and such. This was a first for him and look at him clapping and not holding on for dear life! That’s my husband!

You can’t come down until you manage to give each other a kiss ![]()

I had given Chris a nice small dainty piece of cake to eat. He gave me half a slice to eat! This is me trying not to destroy my dress that I love so much. The cake was absolutely delicious!

Garter toss. I love this picture because you can see how the room came together.

The garter being put back on to the girl who caught the bouquet. Our MC was hilarious and made it into a long thing. Bella says she wants a “flower ring” on her leg when she gets married too! Look at her just taking it all in.

I can’t wait for the photography to come back! It’s still such a blur to us but it’s nice to be back home and to see everyone again. We had such a great time. Of course we didn’t eat a thing so when we got back to the hotel we ordered a pizza from Domino’s at 2AM making it in my opinion the perfect night.

Hi Danielle -this really brings back “A Great Day!” You looked, if this is even possible, more glowing & beautiful in your wedding dress. Marianne & I are so proud to have you a part of our family, & to be even more a part of yours. The wedding day certainly reflected all of your “special touches” & attention to detail. We all had such a wonderful time. Cheers to you & to Chris …

If there ever was a perfect wedding, this one was definately it!! I can’t tell you how much FUN we had. The food, music, company and all of the details from the incredibly beautiful and moving ceremony, the programs with the explainations and dedications (Grandma & Papa were definately smiling down) to the fortune cookies with personal fortunes, note card and lotto ticket attached (I won$7.00!) the day was over the top. I love you both so much, and I’m so proud to be part of your new family. Hey Charlie
